Why We Should Give Him Glory
Exodus 33
The term "glory" in the Bible is derived from the Hebrew word "kabod" and the Greek word
"doxa."
• Kabod: This term conveys the idea of weightiness or heaviness, symbolizing God's overwhelming presence and significance. It reflects the intrinsic magnificence and splendor of God as the Creator and Sustainer of all things.
• Doxa: This term emphasizes the honor associated with God's nature and can also refer to the opinions or judgments about Him.
1. His Glory was MANIFESTED in His death. John 2:10-12
a. The PLACE of His death. - The CROSS
b. The PURPOSE of His death. - The CLEANSING Washed white as snow Rev 7:13-15
c. The PURGING by His death. - The COST His blood Heb 9:22
2. His Glory is MADE CLEAR in Our lives. Luke 9:22-24
a. There is nothing to DESCRIBE the feeling of being wondrously saved from our sin. Ps. 100
b. There is a DECLARATION of His abiding in us. Jesus so sweetly abides within Jn. 15:6
c. There is a DECISION that must be made. If any man will come after me Matt 16:24-2
3. His Glory must be MAINTAINED and cherished. Ps. 79:8-10
a. There is a fountain filled with blood - We are CALLED to be clean. Is. 1:18
b. There Jesus saves me and keeps me clean - Our COMMITMENT should be to holy living.

c. Plunge in today - You will only be COMPLETE wanting nothing else when you plunge into
Jesus. Col. 2:6-13
